MAKES 24 FRIED WONTONS Fry your wontons in oil and you have flaky, crispy wrappers and steamy, delicious filling.

  • 1 recipe Gluten-Free Pork Wontons (below)
  • Neutral vegetable oil such as canola oil, for frying
  • Dipping sauce of choice, such as gluten-free sweet red chili sauce or sweet and sour sauce

  1. Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a medium pot over medium heat, pour in 3 inches of oil and heat until a deep-fry thermometer registers 350°F. Working in batches of 4 or 5 wontons to avoid crowding, gently fry them, stirring occasionally, until light golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain on the towels, let the wontons cool for a few minutes, then serve with dipping sauce.
