Fried Pork Wontons
MAKES 24 FRIED WONTONS Fry your wontons in oil and you have flaky, crispy wrappers and steamy, delicious filling.

Neutral vegetable oil
such as canola oil, for frying
Dipping sauce of choice, such as gluten-free sweet red chili sauce or sweet and sour sauce
Line a baking sheet with paper towels. In a medium pot over medium heat, pour in 3 inches of oil and heat until a deep-fry thermometer registers 350°F. Working in batches of 4 or 5 wontons to avoid crowding, gently fry them, stirring occasionally, until light golden brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain on the towels, let the wontons cool for a few minutes, then serve with dipping sauce.
