Has anyone at GFFmag tried this cake with dairy free substitutes? I’ve seen many favorable reviews for this yellow cake mix but I’m wondering how it would fare with say, oat milk and dairy free butter such as earth balance. We can do gee so I would probably add a little of that to get a more buttery flavor. Thoughts?

    Hi Maria!

We haven’t tried it, but we checked their website and they advise, “For a dairy free version, replace the butter and milk with vegan buttery sticks and rice milk.” In our experience, King Arthur does a good job of doing it right, so I expect that if they say it works, it should. Let us know if you try it and we’ll do the same!
