Product Review: King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Chocolate Cake Mix

This gluten free chocolate cake mix is one of our very favorites because it hits all the right spots–moist, spongy texture, structure good enough to hold up when you run a fork through it, and deep chocolaty flavor. Another perk: one box bakes 2 (8-inch) round layers, one (9-by-13-inch) cake, or 24 cupcakes, so you don’t need to buy two boxes to have your gluten-free chocolate cake and eat it too.


INGREDIENTS: Cane sugar, rice flour, modified tapioca starch, cocoa processed with alkali, potato starch, emulsifier (rice starch, polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides), baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, baking soda, cornstarch, monocalcium phosphate), salt, xanthan gum.



OTHER HELPFUL INFORMATION: Non-GMO; To prepare a cake or cupcakes from this mix, you will need 4 eggs, 2/3 cup oil, and 1-1/3 cup water.
