Product Review: Rip Van Wafels Gluten-Free Stroopwafels
Traditionally served in Europe, these super-thin, caramel-filled wafer sandwich-cookies sit perfectly atop a normal coffee mug so the cookie and its thin filling can be warmed before enjoyment. But we must confess, once the wrapper comes off, we’ve never had the patience to even get one to a mug. They’re so good, we just eat them the moment they’re in our hands.
But that’s okay because the certified gluten-free, USDA-organic certified, dairy-free, soy-free, non-GMO Rip Van Wafels wafer-sandwich cookies are delicious any way you enjoy them. Plus, in the realm of cookies, they’re high in fiber (3 grams) and low on the glycemic index (3 grams of sugar). If you’re lucky, you can find the single-serving (one-cookie) packs in stores near you. Or you can always buy a box of the individually wrapped wafel cookies for easy access anytime.
The hardest problem you’ll need to solve is whether you’d rather get the Sweet Amsterdam Stroopwafel flavor or the Dutch Caramel & Vanilla or Snickerdoodle flavor. But then again, you can also buy both!
