Stone Fence Cocktail

Rum, apple cider, and nutmeg converge to create the quintessential autumnal cocktail.

  • 11/2 ounces dark rum brandy, or bourbon
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1/2 cup apple cider preferably fresh-pressed, chilled
  • Ice
  • Freshly grated nutmeg for garnish


  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the rum, bitters, apple cider, and 2 ice cubes. Shake, pour into a champagne flute, garnish with nutmeg, and serve.
